Lake George Winterfest Fun!
I have to tell you, last Saturday at the Erlowest was a blast, and here's why.
There was a lot of really fun people from all over the place there. I met people from Boston, New Jersey, NYC and lots of local people. It was a great mix of goof balls. Everyone was taking and laughing. And believe it or not, a spontaneous poetry reading broke out around one of the fire bars on the patio of the Erlowest. Hey, I have been known to spout off a few off colorful lymerics under the proper cirmcumstances, but poetry? It was a little high brow for me. Anyways, not sure if it was the great food, beautiful views or the unusual beverages everyone was consuming that really engaged the right brained people, (We made a bunch of candles, so we are taking the credit of course.), but it was a real hoot.
They are hosting another Winterfest evening on February 4th. This week, many of the local breweries, distilleries and wineries are going to be giving away from free samples. It was already a great deal at $40 bucks per head for all the Erlowest food you can eat and a couple of drinks. Add a couple of interesting craft beverages to the mix, and I believe we may have a wonderful tailgate party in preparation for the Superbowl. Of course, we will be there making candles, which is a safe activity while indulging in some of the local fare. And who knows, if you ask nicely, I might be convinced to share a couple of my favorite John Valtbie songs. Here is the link: www.theinnaterlowest.com for tickets.
Lori is posting some photos on our Facebook page so if you need physical evidence that fun was had by all, take a look.
Hope to see you there!
